Hello
everyone!! I want to start by apologizing for missing my post last week. I was
in San Antonio helping my girlfriend move in to her new place.
I want to share
with you all my latest post for Xenfi on Responsive Web Design. I will also be
publishing another article for myEdu soon, where I give some tips to help
students choose a major, so stay tuned.
Let me cut to the chase, the topic here today leadership. For me it is such an
interesting topic because so many people claim to be leaders or dream to become
great leaders one day.
What exactly is
leadership?
I was reading an article on Forbes last week, where they tried to define
leadership by summarizing quotes of the world’s greatest leaders. The definition
they came up with for me is perfect, “Leadership is a process of
social influence, which maximizes the efforts of others, towards the achievement
of a goal.”
Great leaders are the ones that can bring the best of any individual
they work with. To quote Padmasree Warrior, a great female leader and Cisco’s Chief
Technology and Strategy Officer, “Being a leader is not about providing all the
answers. It is stepping back and letting your team shine more than you.”
